Also known as: Emperor of the Ryu Dynasty, The Emperor

The Ryu family was a simple family of farmers, until the daughter, Yu Yan, meant the soon-to-be emperor of the empire, who both fell in love with each other, which was clearly forbidden.

The prince ended up impregnating the farm girl, which was looked down upon by the royal family. The two families from different worlds decided to keep it under the rug, so they arranged for Yu Yan to marry off to another man, to cover the traces that the prince and Yu yan were ever together.

They were devastated that they couldn't live the lives they promised each other.

Soon enough, Yu Yan gave birth to a pair of beautiful twins, who she named Han-sol and Gui-fan. The mother loved her children to an extent, due to them being false hope, a dream that shall never come true. As for the rest of the family, They were seen as the bastard children, a great dishonor.

At the age of 5, the twins were inseparable. Every year, their town would celebrate Obon,  during this time, families visit the graves of their ancestors and give special offerings to welcome their spirits, as it is believed that the ancestors's spirit return to their homes during Obon. At the end of the Obon season, families send off the spirits of their ancestors using lights called the okuribi. The tōrō nagashi (the lanterns that are released in the water) is a type of okuribi. It is a tradition where families thank their ancestors for visiting and protecting them by sending lanterns down the rivers or out to sea with offerings.

The twins were always curious and adventurous, journeys to far off places that are far from the reality of this world--which would also cause them to get in trouble.

(This town was to the ocean, so this is where the celebration would take place)

Every time they would send the lanterns away, almost immediately billions of jellyfish comes out and begin to illuminate the sea, which people start believing that these glowing jellyfishes where their ancestors showing their presence. However, these jellyfishes were extremely toxic, so it became a rule to never get in the water when the ceremony were to be performed, it would be interfering with the spirits connections, little did the two toddlers know.

On the night of the celebration, the boys toke out a small boat out in the water, at the same time the lanterns were released in the water. The Twins were intrigued with the scenery, for it was beautiful, the starry night sky dancing with the glowing creatures of the sea that mimic their lights with the lanterns separating their similarities.

The people panicked when they saw the boys in the boat so far away, they immediately started go after them.

Curious and filled with ignorance, the twins decided to take a swim. Han-sol pushed his brother to go first, realizing what he did was the worst mistake of his life. He watched as the glowing, beautiful creatures surrounded his brother Gui-fan, inflicting their venom; the poison entering him and paralyzing his body, making him drown to death.

When the men that came to the rescue arrived at the scene, they found a broken boy that didn't know what to do nor say, waiting for his brother to resurface.

As time passed, Han-sol was seen as the demon child, his entire family treating him like he was taking up space and the only thing that hes good for is picking up everyone's slack.
He was always blamed for his brothers death, he had no position to even give his opinion.

Back when the twins weren't even born, the prince gave Yu Yan a family heirloom that belonged to the royal family, it was a token that would help her to never forget.

He eventually found out his secret origin by neighbor that knew more than she should.

Tired of the life he was living, he searched for that heirloom until he was successful, making his way to the emperors palace (his father).

Thinking he would be welcomed with opened arms, he was far from that illusion.

The Emperor saw this child as a broken promise, he was far more focused on his five children he had with his empress to be worrying about the past.

However he did let him stay with him...but as a servant.

Different atmosphere, same story, Han-sol was frustrated.

Serving the emperor's children and picking up after everyone tired Han-sol, he came up with the conclusion that he needs to fight in order to protect himself, it was either he stood up for himself or let himself be lost forever.

He started to be sly and trick the emperor's children and turn them against each other, cause silent chaos within the emperors palace.

Eventually the king gets murdered due to poisoning, the empress received information from a certain someone that the emperor was having an affair with multiple women, which lead them to be in need of a new emperor.

Before the eldest son could claim the throne, out came Han-sol, revealing who he truly was (his identity was hidden from everyone else, only the emperor new that Han-sol was royal blood).

And so, the throne was handed over to Han-sol, the true eldest son.

With this, Han-sol banished the royal family from the land, and ruled in the newly titled 'Ryu Dynasty'.

He vowed that instead of him picking up everyone's mess, it was all their turn to pick up the broken pieces of what his chaos leaves behind.

And so the story continues...
